Donation protected

The Coalition for the Protection of PEI Lands is a group of volunteers who are working diligently to raise awareness about land issues and hold government to account in order to address them. We are passionate about preserving the quality and quantity of land for generations to come.

Some of our more successful endeavours include a Forum on Landgrabbing, hosted by Senator Diane Griffin, a Candidates Forum on Land Issues during the last provincial election and meeting with the Premier to discuss our concerns. Our team continues to reach out to raise awareness through social media and opinion pieces in our local papers. In spite of this, only this spring, a land transaction happened even after being rejected by the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission.

The Coalition meets regularly to discuss how we can do more, including research projects to determine exactly who owns what(since it is impossible to find this out as things stand now), video interviews with PEI farmers and others who have been affected by the ongoing abuse, social media marketing and setting up a website. It's all about exposing the truth to Islanders and holding government to account....and that's where you come in. We are hoping you will agree that our fragile and precious land is worth protecting. We hope you will show your concern by donating to the cause/or sharing this campaign with friends and family. Every action will get us one step further to preserving PEI for our families and our collective future.
