Protect Our Elders from Heartless Scammers

I am creating this GoFundMe for my grandparents who have recently been scammed out of $24,000 of hard-earned money that they saved up for retirement.

The scammer went to great lengths to carry out this devastating scam. The scammer used AI to pose as their grandchild in distress, claiming they were their grandchild in a car crash using their grandchild’s voice, personal details of family members, and the make and model of their grandchild’s car to create panic and urgency. On this phone call, the scammer posing as their grandchild asked for $24,000, claiming they were in trouble and needed help.

The scammer then showed up at my grandparents' address demanding the cash to save their grandchild. My grandparents, who were scared and panicked, gave the $24,000 and shortly after realized they had been scammed.

I am creating this page in hopes of helping them build back up the money they saved for retirement. Please also spread the word and help keep others safe from this scam!
