PROTECT OUR DOLLS

My sister's name is Lotus and my name is Poison. We are trans divas that endured a very isolating SA.

Lotus was SA and I saw the situation happen. I addressed her aggressor and ended up being beaten with a glass bottle, struck multiple times in the head while the only person trying to protect me was Lotus.

We were at Legends Nightclub outside on the patio. On a busy night full of patrons, nobody helped us, nobody called security, nobody intervened. As trans people, we were severely let down by our community. It’s been four days since the incident and I still have swelling on my head, a black eye, and I’m finding new bruises on my body daily.

“Protect the Dolls” is a phrase that has been popularized in our current culture to include trans people, but the phrase is a call to action!
