Act Now to Stop Blanket Rezoning on Elveden Drive in Springbank Hill
Our community is under immediate threat. City Council is scheduled to make a decision on the proposed Augusta Villas development (30 Elveden Drive) on September 9th.
The development would drastically increase density on Elveden Drive, replacing 19 single-family homes with 42 townhouse condos that are three-stories high with rooftop patios, fundamentally altering the character, safety, and livability of our neighbourhood.
This is a drastic change that would impact traffic, parking, pedestrian safety and the quality of life for all residents, including families with children attending Griffith Woods Public School.
This isn’t just about one property—three additional lots on Elveden Drive are poised to follow the same path. We must stop Augusta Villas now before the entire street is drastically altered and our community’s character is permanently changed.
We are a group of local residents committed to protecting our neighbourhood—and time is critical.
Your donation will help support:
Legal action: We are working with highly reputable lawyers to demand that City Council delay its decision until after the election, so our Ward 6 community will finally have an elected representative who can defend our streets, protect our rights and end blanket rezoning.
Community mobilization: We are hosting a town hall on September 3rd at Valleyview Church, 5:30–7:30pm, to unite residents, share information, and amplify our collective voice. We will also organize and encourage community members to attend the City Council meeting on September 9th to speak up for our rights and ensure our neighbourhood is heard.
Media outreach: We are raising awareness through a public relations campaign to ensure City Council understands the real consequences of proceeding without full community representation, and to hold them accountable.
Time is running out! Every contribution—big or small—brings us closer to stopping City Council from making irreversible decisions.
If every household in our neighbourhood donates just $100, we can reach our goal and ensure our community has a voice before the September 9th vote.
Act now—our families, our streets, and our future depend on it.
Please donate today to help us protect Elveden Drive and Springbank Hill from irreparable harm.
