Protect NY Voters Urgent Action
We held a demonstration to show how long the lines to vote will be if we lose hand-marked paper ballots in New York, which could be happening soon. We are also demonstrating that currently New Yorkers waiting in line to vote are not allowed to be brought water and snacks.
We spent $2,000 on travel, food & water for the action, flyers, and an automated phone program to help people connect with their legislators. Please help us continue to get the word out about this important issue and the legislation that can help.

We want the Assembly to pass A5934A immediately. It requires hand-marked paper ballots and ballot-marking devices in all polling places in NY. The NY Senate # is S6169A. Otherwise, one of the voting machines the state is about to approve will eliminate hand-marked paper ballots wherever it is used.
The bill to allow voters to receive food and snacks while they wait in line is A1346. It passed the NY Senate already.
