Last year, we successfully raised funds to prevent the passing of a proposal to develop the trail. Now, another proposal has been submitted and is up for public comment. We are raising funds to seek legal expertise on this new proposal.

Monte Cresta trail is a beautiful place to hike, run, and walk our dogs and kids in a beautiful natural environment. Many of us moved to the neighborhood in order to be closer to this wonderful trail. Some of us have hiked the trail for decades.

Unfortunately, this peaceful haven is under threat. This plan not only disrupts our community’s access to the trail but also overlooks critical environmental protocols. The project has moved forward without adherence to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and lacks a comprehensive Environmental Impact Review (EIR), which are essential to ensuring sustainable development that respects community and environmental health.

We are initiating this GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for our fight to preserve Monte Cresta trail. 100% of proceeds will support legal expenses and/or expert testimony to ensure that our voices are heard and that development in our area remains responsible and transparent.
