Protect Julius: Support Wanni's Legal Fight

Wanni, the mother of 2-year-old Julius, is fighting a difficult legal battle to win custody of her son and remove him as much as possible from the home of an abusive and highly litigious father whom she divorced.

This campaign is to provide her with the legal support she needs to ensure a safe and healthy childhood for Julius.

Wanni is an immigrant from Thailand. Julius’ father is 70-years-old and lives alone. He has a controlling and abusive personality. Unfortunately, he views children as subjects to command and is seeking full custody of Julius.

Julius’ father has two children from a previous failed marriage. The mother divorced him. The two children cut ties with him years ago because he brought nothing but toxic behavior to their lives. They moved on, but Julius’ father remains bitter toward them and their mother even now.

The father has inflicted physical and verbal abuse (punching, grabbing, screaming or cursing) on all of the parties mentioned above. The incidents are too many to describe, but most recently, Wanni was injured and her passport taken from her in 2021. She ran to a neighbor's house; a police report shows the investigating officer charged the father with assault and theft. At the time, he convinced Wanni not to pursue the charges.

The longer that Julius is left with this man, the more likely it is that Julius will suffer abuse and/or be neglected. He recently suffered a huge gash on his forehead in the father’s home.

The father’s oldest son is creating this fundraiser to help Wanni and prevent Julius from suffering the same horrible childhood experiences that he did. Except for the first names of Julius and Wanni, we have left out other identifying information to avoid attracting unwanted attention.
