WHO WE ARE

Protect Grove City is a citizen-led nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring that the people of Grove City have a voice in decisions that will shape our community for generations.

In April 2026, a handful of concerned neighbors, resisting a 310 acre data center proposed for Rensch Rd, quickly grew into a community-wide movement powered entirely by residential volunteers.

Because of the incredible support from our community, we've already accomplished so much:

• Educated thousands of residents through flyers, yard signs, social media, public meetings, and community events.

• Created ProtectGroveCity.org as a central source for research, public records, updates, and educational resources.

• Organized a team of volunteers who have spent countless hours canvassing neighborhoods, collecting signatures, and informing their neighbors.

• Helped bring unprecedented public participation to Grove City Council meetings, where residents made their voices heard.

• Celebrated when Grove City City Council approved a 12-month emergency moratorium on new data center development on June 1st, giving our community valuable time to study the long-term impacts of these projects.

• Launched the Community Consent Amendment, a citizen-led charter amendment that would require voter approval before future massive industrial development (such as hyperscale data centers) can move forward in Grove City.

• Collected and submitted 2,187 petition signatures in just 16 DAYS to place the Community Consent Amendment before voters. Those petitions were submitted on July 1, 2026 to GC City Council, who will then submit them to the Franklin County Board of Elections for verification.

None of this would have been possible without the support of neighbors who donated, volunteered, shared information, attended meetings, and believed that residents deserve a seat at the table.

WHY WE STILL NEED YOUR HELP

While we've accomplished a great deal together, our work is far from finished.

As our movement has grown, so have the costs of protecting our community.

Your donation helps fund:

• Legal counsel for the ballot initiative, nonprofit governance, public records matters, and protecting our volunteers as we continue this work.

• Petition and ballot expenses, including printing, educational materials, filing fees, volunteer supplies, and voter outreach for the Community Consent Amendment.

• Community education and outreach, including yard signs, banners, printed materials, and public information campaigns to ensure residents have accurate information before important decisions are made.

• Technology and operations, including website hosting, communications, records management, software, and the tools needed to coordinate a growing volunteer organization.

Protect Grove City is committed to transparency. Every dollar donated is carefully tracked and used to advance our mission of protecting our community and ensuring residents have a voice in decisions that affect their future.
