Help protect Girls from FGM in Tanzania

Hello,

My name is Grace and over the next few weeks, I will be embarking on a journey to Volunteer for a month with the organisation “ Hope for girls and women Tanzania “ who help to provide a safe enviroment, Shelter and support for girls escaping FGM, child marrage and other forms of gender-based violence. The organisation helps by providing education to girls and the community at large, strengthening love and solidarity in the community, it will create a safe environment for the girls keeping them free from bad traditional ties, giving them dignity to develop and contributing to an End to FGM, Child Marriage plus other forms of Gender Based Violence. The organization established “ Hope Mugumu Safe house “ and “ Butiama safe house “ to protect girls fleeing from FGM and support young women who have experienced gender-based violence from their families or community.
