Hi, my name is Bee from Australia and I've been asked to create this fundraiser by Alaa for Fatima and Moaz, whose hands you see in the above picture.

The bride is Fatima Moein Badwan and she is 23.

The groom is Moaz Ezzat Hassan Al-Amsi and he is 27.

**NEW**: Fatima is expecting her firstborn baby very soon!

They were married a few days before the war: 9/9/23. But as a result of the war, they lost their new home and everything they owned. Most recently, Fatima and Moaz have been bombed in their own tent. Moaz is in a critical condition, and Fatima is alone and cannot support herself.

They have not received any support yet: this fundraiser was delayed in creation and even then, temporarily closed for several months (but we're back online!) In light of this, I really do ask you to give generously if you have the capacity to do so.

Everyone is struggling under the siege under equally brutal conditions, without discrimination. The only thing ensuring basic necessities for many people is the lifeline of GoFundMe donations, enabling civilians in Gaza to purchase food and vital materials to survive the challenges of savage weather, honest-to-god starvation, and risk of disease and injury.

Now Fatima needs to rise to the challenge of caring for a new baby, which is difficult at the best of times - but a million times more difficult if you are starving, and worried about your injured husband, and frightened for your life.

We initially set the fundraiser for an initial target of $1,000 - the minimum amount that would make a meaningful difference when sent via bank transfer amid steep transaction fees. It is with mixed emotions that I can report that I have spoken to Alaa, and we have decided to collect funds from all four of my campaigns (one, two, three, four) together to send as a lump sum, to be distributed appropriately. Please rest assured that I am paying close attention to the particulars, and will provide transparent updates as they become available.
