Our county’s rural character is not accidental—it is the result of generations of families and farmers who have worked this land, cared for it, and depended on it to provide for their families. Industrial-scale commercial solar would permanently alter the landscape of this beautiful county and change a way of life that has been passed down for decades. Once this land is transformed, it cannot easily be returned to the fields, farms, and open spaces that define who we are. In standing together as a community, we have found a shared commitment to protecting our rural way of life, our wildlife, and the land we love. This is not about resisting progress, but about preserving the heart of our county so it can continue to support families, farming, and community for generations to come.
