Hi, my name is Michele and I’ve set this fundraiser up for my best friend, Crystal. She’s a single mother and one of the strongest, most loving people I know. Last week, her life and her children’s sense of safety were shattered in a way no family should ever have to experience.

On Wednesday night, while Crystal and her children were asleep, a man came onto her property and began smashing her car with a rock. He then ripped her mailbox from the ground and used it to cause even more damage.

Crystal was woken by a phone call from her neighbour, alerting her to what was happening. When she went outside, the man returned and began harassing her directly - threatening to come back and kill her and her children - while they were still inside the house, frightened and vulnerable.

The police were called that night, but the man wasn’t arrested until Saturday. While there is now an Intervention Order (IVO) in place, the reality is that a piece of paper doesn’t make Crystal or her children feel truly safe.

Now, Crystal is left with:

• A badly damaged car that she relies on every day to care for her family.

• The urgent need for proper home security - cameras, lighting, and locks - so she and her children can sleep safely at night.

As a single mother, Crystal is carrying this weight on her own. She shouldn’t have to bear both the financial cost and the emotional toll of this terrifying ordeal by herself.

This fundraiser has been created to help her repair her car and set up the security her family deserves. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help Crystal and her kids take steps toward peace of mind and safety.
