**Stand with Us Against Tesla’s Deceptive Practices**
My name is Ugi, and I’m fighting an uphill battle against a corporate giant for fairness, justice, and accountability—not just for myself, but for every consumer who believes companies should honor their commitments and operate ethically.
### The Backstory
Between 2022 and 2023, I purchased three Tesla Model 3s for my family (two 2020s and one 2022). Due to Florida law, any vehicle replaced by an insurance company is branded as salvage—even for minor issues, such as a replacement part being back ordered. This inflexible rule is driven by Tesla’s rigid parts distribution restrictions and repair policies:
- **2022 Model 3:** Required **NO repairs** to return to service (only 4,199 miles).
- **2020 Model 3:** Needed a simple $90 suspension component replacement (16,000 miles).
- **2020 Model 3P:** Despite needing only minor fixes, it was still burdened by Tesla’s inflexible policies.
Importantly, upon purchase, all three vehicles supercharged and showed active warranty coverage—clearly indicating they should have been supported by Tesla’s Battery and Drivetrain Warranties.
### What Went Wrong
1. **2023 – Drive Unit Inverter Failure:**
The 2020 Model 3 (that previously needed only the $90 repair) suffered a drive unit inverter failure with just around 20,000 miles—well within the 8-year/100,000-mile warranty. Tesla refused to honor the warranty and instead charged me over $6,000 for what was essentially a plug-reprogram-and-play repair involving a $1,300 part that they wouldn’t sell directly. No aftermarket options existed.
2. **2024 – Catastrophic Battery Failure:**
At just 59,800 miles, my 2020 M3P, after two years of ownership, experienced a severe battery failure—losing half its battery capacity suddenly. Tesla again denied warranty coverage and demanded $15,000 for repairs. After driving merely 21 miles post-repair, the car shut down due to internal faults in the replacement battery. Tesla’s tactics have left me with unresolved issues for 9 months, incurring alternative transportation costs and extraordinary legal fees.
Tesla routinely employs tactics to avoid accountability—hiding behind arbitration clauses and other non-litigation policies that shield them from scrutiny and public review. In this case, our unique legal maneuver of posting a bond forced them into court, bypassing their usual roadblocks. Suing me was their biggest mistake because now we can shine a light on their deceptive practices for the benefit of all consumers.
### Our Fight for Consumers Everywhere
This legal battle isn’t solely about my personal hardships. It’s about exposing a pattern of deceptive practices that leave consumers financially punished while boosting Tesla’s profits. We aim to set a precedent that empowers every consumer to demand ethical treatment and corporate responsibility.
### How You Can Help
