Protect Butler Township's Agricultural Heritage-Stop solar!

Donation protected
We are residents of Butler Township in Biglerville, PA trying to save our historic apple orchards and agricultural preservation farmland from being destroyed by nearly 180 total acres of solar panels.

A number of homeowners, whose properties adjoin each of the three solar projects, along with other concerned community members have provided the initial funds needed to retain the services of land-use attorney, William J. Cluck. Bill has agreed to provide legal representation on all three projects; however, with each solar project requiring a separate set of hearings, we know that we will need additional funds to maintain his services throughout the entire process.

Thus far, the hearings for one project - 60 acres of solar panels to replace apple trees at Oyler's Corner along 234, have been concluded; the second set of hearings to put 60 acres of panels at the intersection of Heidlersburg and Guernsey Roads has been delayed due to improper posting; and the third, Zeigler Mill Road all along and across from the Conewago. has been postponed for unknown reasons.

This page was set up to allow any other interested community members (or anyone else!) to contribute to the legal fees to help ensure that we can continue to afford his representation.

Thank you so much for giving. We genuinely appreciate any amount given, as every little bit helps. We are determined to preserve the heritage of Butler Township, and not see it ravaged by a greedy, disinterested company looking for a way to profit from our land.

Thank you again!!
