It is estimated that 1 in 4 Australians experience some form of mental ill health in any given year, and almost 1 in 2 Australians will experience mental ill health in their lifetime - Roughly 50% of these people won’t seek help.

Speak & Share is a Not For Profit Mental Health Organisation, doing big things nationally, by encouraging the tough conversations and challenges the stigma associated with mental health. Through a preventative proactive approach, Speak & Share facilitate school, corporate and sporting club programs, as well as local events to connect community and raise awareness to positively impact mental health awareness.

Whilst Prospect Run Club’s motto is ‘Running For No Reason’, we all know the direct and indirect benefits that running has for our own mental health. There is no better feeling than the ‘post-run high’, and we also know that it can boost your mood, nurture the feeling of achievement, lessens the feeling of loneliness and isolation, improves sleep and improves overall physical health.

Our Plan to raise $10K

Our goal is to raise $10,000 for Speak & Share by July 2024. To help us achieve our targets, we will be seeking donations via GoFundMe, hosting fundraising events and doing a special PRC x Speak & Share merch run - stay tuned!

We all have the opportunity to make a difference and positively impact our community - Mental Health remains a complex challenge facing our community and requires all of our efforts to ensure that those in need are aware of the services and support that is available to them and don’t suffer in silence.
