This year, the Ethiopian-Eritrean Association at UVA is having a fundraiser for two causes in Ethiopia and Eritrea: St. Mariam Hosptial for the Mentally Disabled in Eritrea and the Nehemiah Autism Center in Ethiopia. EESA wants to work to improve mental health in those countries and raise awareness as mental illness has a negative stigma in many African countries. All of the proceeds for this GoFundMe will be donated to these two causes.
