Hi everyone!

My name is DeAundra Hurd. I’m a proud Cedar Hill native, CHHS Alum, Destination Advisory Board Chair, and the founder of Wave of Unity — a local nonprofit committed to creating meaningful experiences and opportunities for youth and families in our community.

Right now, we’re in the heart of something incredibly special: our second annual DFW Prom Dreams initiative. This year, we’ve hand-selected two incredible seniors from Cedar Hill High School—young women who’ve overcome tremendous challenges and continue to lead with strength, grace, and resilience.

We’re covering:

✔️ Prom gowns

✔️ Nails & makeup

✔️ Group transportation to prom

✔️ A beautifully curated send-off celebration

✔️ Photography & a small gift for each

Now, we just need you to help us complete their journey.

Your donation will help us create a moment they’ll never forget — a moment where they feel seen, supported, and celebrated.

In 2026, DFW Prom Dreams is expanding to DeSoto ISD and Duncanville ISD, and we’ll be adding young men to the initiative as well. The more we raise now, the more lives we can impact next.
