As a car seat engineer at Evenflo, Phil was passionate about keeping kids safe. In addition to the countless hours he dedicated to his work, he also volunteered as a car seat installation technician and at local childrens hospitals.
To honor Phil's legacy and celebrate his birthday, let's put some deserving kids in safe car seats!
We've created Project Safe Seat as a way to partner with Akron Children's Hospital and Safe Kids Summit County to provide car seats in Phil's name to local families in need. Our goal is to contribute 20 car seats to this worthy cause!
Just $60 provides an Evenflo car seat to a child who wouldn't otherwise have one.
Phil loved kids, he loved building Evenflo car seats, and he especially loved putting kids in Evenflo car seats - those are his three grandchilden in their seats from Papa in the photo above.
Thank you for all of the love and support over the past few months. Phil was special to so many - let's all DO something special that he would have loved!
About the program: Akron Children’s Hospital and Safe Kids Summit County provide car seats at a discounted price for income-eligible families. Participants enroll in a program that teaches them how to properly install a car seat in an automobile and to properly secure their child in the seat. Program topics include proper seat angle, seat tightness and harness adjustment.
