Project Save the Farm

My name is Catherine Bristol and I grew up in Almont, Michigan where my family has been living off the land since 1828. I would like to keep the family farm running as an educational and community gathering place. I always loved working and playing on the farm since a young girl. Since my dad passed on in September 2009, I have been trying my best to revive the farm with organic sustainable practices. In 2014, I started Mama Bean as an heirloom seed company to help protect plant biodiversity and food freedom. I finished school in 2016 as a National Board Certified Holistic Health Practicioner, Clinical Nutritionist and Master Herbalist, therefore expanding Mama Bean to offer herbal medicine and everyday products with clean ingredients along with wellness plans specific to you.    

I’m looking for anyone who wants to help a small town girl with big dreams build something together with the community to pass down for our future generations to enjoy and benefit from. Believe me there is a whole lot of hardship and family drama about the whole situation as I’m sure you all know too well. I choose forgiveness and to stay in love as we are all doing what we think we need to do to survive and some how I trust that love always wins. I have not spent any of the donations received thus far and will keep you all updated when and how the money is spent. I have been at the farm every day and with the help one some amazing friends it’s amazing what we have pulled off so far this year.
