I was always told good is never good enough, so when I wanted to start my eagle project, I wanted to do something ambitious. I wanted to benefit a place that means so much to me and the community that helps support it.

My name is David Rubenstein and I am working on my eagle project. I plan to assist the Town of Northwood and to do a service project for Lantern Light Camps called Project Renaissance. The Town of Northwood provides recreation space and services for the community. They provide spaces for families that are clean and well kept to be in the outdoors. I work at a camp in Northwood called the Wah-Tut-Cah Reservation where we give kids a safe and guided experience in the outdoors. I feel strongly about kids being in the outdoors and the extremely positive effect it gives them. In spending my summers at the Wah-Tut-Ca reservation in Northwood, I have gained such an appreciation for the benefits of the outdoors.

As you may have noticed there are 2 parts to my endeavor. The first part will be to build and donate 5 handicap accessible picnic tables to the town of Northwood. The main objective of Project Renaissance will be to rebuild the Waterfront dock sections at the Wah-Tut-Ca Reservation. My goal is to provide safe outdoor facilities to 2 places I care deeply about. The Wah-Tut-Ca Reservation services at risk and homeless children from the Boston/Lowell area as well as youth from Massachusetts and New Hampshire. The Town of Northwood is very supportive of the camp and I’m excited to give back on this relationship. I need your help, I want to do something great and I know I can’t do it alone. I am asking for $8,000 dollars in order to complete these 2 ambitious projects. I hope you will consider a donation to my cause. I plan to send pictures regularly so you can follow my journey to becoming an Eagle and making a difference in this corner of the world.

While I feel strongly about both projects, I need to account for donations to either project. If you want your money to go towards a certain project, feel free to specify in the notes with the donation. I will be accounting for the donations and any surplus will go to the respective organizations.
