XIII Research & Design is an organisation that needs your help!
With the support of our community we are trying to raise one hundred thousand dollars to buy 5x 1-hectare plots to create a network of Carbon Farms, spread throughout Australia. We believe focusing on the regeneration of out physical Environment is the first step toward the regeneration of a Social and Cultural Communities.
Our goal is to secure a variety carbon abatement contracts (Soil Carbon, Afforestion/Reforestation & Waste Diversion) with the Clean Energy Regulator (CER) on each parcel of Land, as officially registered projects backed by the Australian Government's Climate Solutions Fund (CSF). The diversification of Carbon uptake Methodologies allows for both increased Environmental and Financial resilience long-term.
Profit's produced in the sale of accrued Australian Carbon Units (ACU's) will go toward the purchase of further land, specifically focusing on marginal zoned and ecologically 'at risk' land.
This is an ongoing project to regenerate and increase the resilience in both our biological and socio-cultural ecologies at a local level, whilst also aiming to create lasting change to our current National Technical and Economic metabolisms.
The first step in this process is mobilising a community of like-minded individuals who can set aside their differences to actualise a greater common goal. In this light, XIII Research & Design will be hosting a series of unique events to Fundraise the land purchase, whilst continuing to support the intensive growth of our local Community and its members.
XIII Research & Design's social outreach department XIII.Collective will be responsible for the organisation of all Fundraising activities.
**2020/21 UPDATE** In response to recent major Climatic events and Public Health threats XIII.Collective is accelerating its efforts to help realise our collective goal ASAP. We believe, now more than ever, we need to work together in order to develop lasting scalable solutions to the massive collective Environmental and Social threats we will continue to face both now and evermore, as we move into an increasingly uncertain future.
We believe, with your help, that we can raise the 100K we need by the end of 2025. If we have not successfully reached this Goal by this deadline, XIII.Collective will continue its fundraising mission until our Goal is met.
