We are raising $28,000 to make a meaningful contribution to the lives of Community First! Village residents by funding 1) the support for 1 community resident for 1 year, enabling an additional resident to join the community or stay an additional year if needed; 2) the beautification of an underutilized space within the Village to create an intentional and inviting space for connection and community.

The Village offers wraparound services – mental health services, healthcare, nutrition, employment coaching and more - to community members transitioning out of homelessness. These services create lasting impacts in community members’ lives.

Based on conversation with MLF staff,  $25,000 is an amount that funds full support for one resident for one year.

An additional $3,000 will go towards creating a space for community and conviviality at the Community First! Village. According to MLF, “Home is more than four walls and a roof … Home is a place where individuals experience permanence, where they can belong and where they encounter other benefits that provide a true life-filling experience.” Based on a request from MLF, we will fundraise to install new landscaping, including plants and pavers, as well as a picnic table and benches. The exact design will be created by MLF.  This supports MLF’s vision of ending homelessness by building relationships, and transmits our ATX6 experience of chosen family.
