Hi everyone, Over the past months, I’ve been working on providing meals, clothing, hygiene items, and support to people living in Tent City and experiencing homelessness in our community. What started as simply wanting to help has grown into something much bigger. With each visit, I’ve seen firsthand how much small acts of kindness matter. A warm meal, clean clothes, hygiene products, blankets, kind conversations, and simply being treated with dignity can completely change someone’s day.
For our next outreach weekend on the 15th, we are hoping to serve breakfast and dinner to a large number of people while also continuing to provide essential supplies. We plan to make pancakes and eggs for breakfast, and rice bowls for dinner. Funds raised will go directly toward food ingredients, hygiene supplies, blankets, clothing organization supplies, transportation and meal prep costs, and additional necessities requested by the community. We are also hoping to provide extra care beyond meals, including haircuts, nail painting, encouraging notes from children, and organized clothing distribution. Our goal is not only to feed people, but to help them feel seen, cared for, and human.
As a student, organizing this project has shown me how serious homelessness truly is and how much community support matters. I cannot do this alone, and any donation—big or small—helps more than you know. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser would mean the world to us. Thank you for helping us support our homeless neighbors with compassion, dignity, and care.
