Hi! We’re Jasmin and Jamin and we are fundraising to make our dreams of having a baby come true. Unfortunately, we have been on an arduous infertility journey for the past 20 years. Yes, 20 years! We’ve started the IVF process on 5 separate occasions and each time we were told we can’t move forward due to the severity of my fibroids. I've had 4 surgeries and over 100 fibroids removed. All were unsuccessful attempts to save my uterus and prepare it for pregnancy.

I was devastated when my doctor eventually told me there was nothing else he could do and my uterus needed to be removed. It was 14 pounds at the time of my partial hysterectomy. After the procedure, I frequently questioned, "Was this really the end of our journey?"

After emotionally and physically healing, I mustered up some hope. I enthusiastically thought, “Since the fibroids are gone, we could finally move forward with IVF!" Unfortunately, my age became the next major issue, and I was constantly advised not to get my hopes up.

All the bad news from fertility specialists in addition to the cost-prohibitive fees associated with IVF and surrogacy left us feeling completely defeated. I tried my best to make peace with the thought that we would never have children of our own.

Then in late 2021, a dear friend, who I served in the Air Force with, shared she was going to complete her first IVF cycle. We had not spoken in years and she had no clue I was trying for so long. I immediately started wondering, “Should we try one last time?" and "Could this be the place we were meant to go all along?". I immediately asked her for the clinic information, because I trust her wholeheartedly, and then we decided to give it one last shot.

Two months later, we flew out to Barbados for IVF and within one week, they were able to accomplish what we had been trying to do for 18 years. Today, I am happy to say, we have TWO genetically normal embryos waiting for us. One boy and one girl. ❤️

After relentlessly researching, we have found a surrogacy agency that we trust. We never expected we would have to travel to Eastern Europe, but it is the only way we will have a chance to afford this process as surrogacy costs in the US are very high.

In Georgia (the country), the total cost for surrogacy for one embryo is approx $50,000 vs the $80,000-$150,000 in the U.S. Fortunately, the agency will allow us to pay in installments as we move through the process.

We were recently awarded a $3,500 grant from a non-profit organization. We will use that money to make our initial payment to start the process, ASAP!

This is the CLOSEST WE HAVE EVER BEEN to making our dream come true! We still can’t believe it. We plan to continue applying for as many grants as possible to ease the financial burden, but, we are asking our friends, family, and anyone touched by our story to help support our dream.

100% of all donations will be applied directly to the agency costs. As we move forward in this process we will be sure to provide updates along the way. We thank you for reading and all your support.

To anyone else currently going through a similar journey, I wish you only the best as you continue on. Please remember everyone's journey is different and what's for you is for YOU.

Sincerely,
Jasmin & Jamin
