We just finished the 2025 mission to Gaza facilitated by the Palestine Children's Relief Fund https://www.pcrf.net/ where Dr. Johnson spent 17 days and performed 63 reconstructive surgeries in children with malnutrition-related birth malformations, burns, and wounds.
All funds raised are used only for travel expenses of Dr. Johnsons's team and support the organization of The Johnson-Miotto Foundation for World Health.
Project Change: The World is an international charity that provides free surgeries and medical care to vulnerable patients. Reconstructive surgery, orthopedic surgery, Maxillofacial Surgery, Ophthalmological surgical, and so much more is made possible in some of the poorest countries in the world. In June 2009, Project Change refurbished a hospital and operated on over 100 patients in Bujumbura, Burundi. The people of Burundi need surgical and medical care, now more than ever. We will return to Burundi in 2026 to continue our mission to "Change the World, One Surgery at a Time."
In 2024 and 2025, we partnered with CHPAA for a mission in Cambodia - https://chpaa.org/missions-to-cambodia/ - to perform pro bono surgery for children who would otherwise suffer from cleft lip and palate, other congenital malformations, burns etc. We were able to complete this work only through the kindness and generosity of others. Please help us help these children become whole. Here is the final report of this mission: Cambodia Final Report
