Thank you so much for visiting this page. My name is Shrutik Kulkarni, and my two project chairs and I, Rishabh Dhariwal and Sanjay Anasuri, are working on an eight-month project that will benefit our community. Alongside us three are our wonderful team members who have helped us every step of the way concerning the execution of this project; Shweta Pattnaik, Aaryan Gundecha, Steven Chen, and Ria Panda.

Project Bridge is a project in which DVHS student volunteers visit the treasured senior citizen community of San Ramon to inspire unity via learning and conversation. The generational gap between the youth and seniors is exponentially growing as technology and sociopolitical aspects of our life develop.

My project chairs and I have partnered with the senior homes of San Ramon to help inspire such companionship. We meet with senior homes weekly, where we will educate our senior citizens on the use of technology and how they can use it to make their lives better. Our student volunteers will assist in teaching them, and then participate in various activities in order to bring these generationally divided communities together. Furthermore, these senior citizens have many life experiences to share, and by allowing these two generations to meet with one another, we hope to foster an environment of community.
Current Partnerships

We have partnered with the Reutlinger Community in Danville to have two sessions; one ranging from October to December, and the second ranging from January to April. We have received huge levels of interest by the senior citizens and as a result we have estimated that having fifteen per session would prove fruitful towards reaching our goal of uniting the community.
So why do we need money?
Our passion of wanting to help others extends to our desire to provide tangible proof of our care for the senior citizens. We want to gift our sixteen senior citizens with technology in addition to a personalized gift, and we have estimated that providing them with the Amazon Kindle Fire 7, in addition to providing the first session with a holiday themed party and the second session with a spring themed party will cost roughly $6,000.
For a more complicated breakdown, please contact me.
We hope to have $3,000 by December and the full $6,000 by April, but any donations will help.
This money will directly go towards benefiting the senior citizens. We hope to educate them on the intricacies of technology as tech is a powerful tool, but can be complicated when attempting to understand it. Not only that, but this is a great opportunity for students at our school to volunteer and learn what it means to give back to the community. In a competitive environment like San Ramon, this is an opportunity for students to distinguish themselves and to learn about the importance of community and what it takes to educate and hold meetings with people far away from their age group.
We are extremely grateful for every donation, no matter how big or small. Your support for this cause is extremely appreciated, and the senior citizens of San Ramon as well as myself would like to personally thank you for your time and hard-earned money.
If you'd like to support this cause but do not wish to donate, that is perfectly fine too! Please share our page with any of your peers. All support is greatly appreciated.
For updates on progress, please check back here occasionally. We have a social media page on Instagram, so please frequently check there as well for frequent updates. Furthermore, we are proud to announce that we have also launched a YouTube channel!
Thank you so much for reading this. We appreciate your time very much, and thank you for considering our proposition!
