Greetings everyone!
My name is Vincent Siu. By God's grace, my wife, Jamie, and I met during the summer of 2018. Through His love and blessings we were married on June 2019. While we were dating we frequently shared our dreams of having a family of our own, and after we were married we expected that having children would be the next natural step.
I am an ER nurse with a big heart for taking care of people. I am also an uncle to 3 fabulous nieces from my older sister. I was closely involved throughout their entire lives, and I can proudly say, I am a certified "funcle" (fun uncle). I am blessed with the most amazing parents and they showed me what loving your child to the fullest should look like. I wish to pass down the love they had shown me to my own child.
Jamie is a pharmacist and an older sister to a 10 year younger sister who lovingly calls Jamie her second mom. During her college years, she was closely involved in the children's ministry by serving as a Sunday school teacher. When asked what kind of mother she would like to be, she has always answered that she just wishes to love upon her children as Christ has shown us to love.
In 2013, Jamie rushed to ER with severe stomach pain and was diagnosed with endometriosis and a very large uterine fibroid. Over the span of the next 7 years she closely monitored her health condition with an endocrinologist and diligently prepared for the possibility of having children of her own in the future. In 2019, after our marriage, we were overjoyed to learn that we had 3 healthy embryos, but our doctor recommended that the growing fibroid in Jamie's uterus be removed to provide the best possible chance for our babies. To our surprise and dismay, the surgery to remove her fibroid left Jamie unable to carry our babies. While this news brought shock and devastation to us, we still believe that God intends for us to be parents and want to fight for our embryos to have a chance at life.
Anyone who has experienced or witnessed the IVF process will understand that it is a very physically and emotionally taxing process, but it also presents a heavy financial burden. In addition to IVF, we now are seeking a surrogate who will undergo the IVF process in our stead. If you are interested in more details of our story, please visit here .
Thank you for everyone who has taken time to read our story, and if you should feel so inclined, we ask that you may prayerfully and financially support us on our journey ahead. Thanks again for your time, and please feel free to share our story
