Project ADAPT - Ukrainian Refugee Assistance
0% complete
$30,091 raised of $25K

More than 14 million Ukrainians have been displaced due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, with 3.5 million located in Poland and 8 million dislocated within the country. Project ADAPT strives to make a tangible impact on the lives of those in greatest need: refugees and the more than 4,000 orphans who have lost their families, homes, and hopes for a better future.
I first traveled to Ukraine in 2015, returning in 2018 to visit and work with children from Donbas suffering from PTSD. I later raised more than $20,000 to fund two camp sessions in Pokrovka, Ukraine, on the Black Sea.
Heeding a call to action, I founded ADAPT with a simple mission: adapt the application of resources to the needs on the ground - Ukrainian refugees fleeing the conflict. Specifically, I will focus my efforts on children and refugee groups helping Ukrainian orphans in the west. Departing June 11th, I will spend six weeks in Poland and Ukraine, acquiring short-term supplies and delivering them to individuals in need and overburdened refugee assistance groups. But I cannot do it alone; I need your help! Every donation will go directly to purchase essential goods and supplies for individuals and groups at the border.
These supplies may look like:
- Emergency relief, such as food and water
- Clothes and transportation costs for refugees
- Any additional supplies requested by refugees on the ground
Please consider supporting these efforts by donating. We will ensure that all funds raised go to those directly impacted and in most need. Any remaining funds will be donated to the fantastic work of Polish Humanitarian Assistance (PHA), Happy Kids Foundation, and World Central Kitchen.
