This GoFundMe is a rolling fund that started 3 years ago to sustain my farming efforts here on Whidbey! The funds are generally used to keep the lights on and to keep gas in the tank. For this funding round, I'm specifically raising funds for marketing materials, food hub dues, packaging, and our farmstand project (we'll be powering 2 display fridges and lighting in our farmstand with solar!)

Grass Becomes a Wave is a farm and studio on Whidbey Island. I grow flowers, vegetables, medicine and dye crops for my communities in Oak Harbor and Coupeville (and beyond!) I love collaborating with local growers, farmers and chefs and am always in awe of the bounty that we are able to produce season after season. I hope to scale my offerings this year so that I can provide more produce for our local farmer's market. I'll be creating sheep tallow products with my friends at Shoot the Moon Vineyard & Farm; providing produce and eggs for our local Italian deli Chef in the Black Bandana; and I'll continue my community work farming and sharing resources with the Heavy Nettle Collective. Lots of exciting things ahead and so much work to be done!
