Who are we?

PRIME-LA (Leadership & Advocacy)

We are a group of medical students at David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA focused on the development of leaders in medicine addressing policy, care, and research in healthcare for the underserved and marginalized communities.

 

What is Day of Giving?

Community service

It is our day of service on Martin Luther King Jr. Day where we will assemble care packages and distribute them to our community members who are experiencing homelessness

in the West Los Angeles area.

 

What is the goal?

100 care packages for the community

We hope to assemble 100 care packages with your help. As we transition into harsh winter weather, we wanted to distribute supplies to our community members.

 

What are in the care packages?

Basic essentials & supplies

We hope to provide quality essential items to our community members experiencing homelessness. This includes a sleeping bag, 2 pairs of socks, a pair of mittens, a beanie, and water bottles packaged in a reusable tote bag.

In order to meet the goals of 100 care packages,

we need to raise $3500 by Jan 10th, 2022.

Donation of any amount is greatly appreciated.

Any extra supplies will be donated to the Mobile Clinic Project

at UCLA to distribute to their clients.
