Prevent Rezoning by King and Bear
Donation protected
We are asking for community support to raise funds to hire an experienced appraiser and attorney to represent the neighbors opposed to request to rezoning 23+ acres (adjacent to King and Bear and Wards Creek Elementary) to a Plan a Unit Development for a 24-hour RV and Boat Storage facility.
We have spoken with Ron Moody appraiser and the Attorney Ron Austin. Ron Moody has 47 years of experience in property appraisal at MoodyWilliams Appraisal firm (moodywilliams.com) .
Ron will develop an appraisal survey and present his finding to the Planning and Zoning board at the August 6 hearing. This presentation will illustrate that impacts to property values.
Property adjacent to the RV/Boat storage would decrease approximately 10% to 15% in value and this would negatively impact other property values in the community.
As recommended by the County Commissioner and the Planning & Zoning Board he will present the survey and factual appraisal data with the Comprehensive Plan Land Use guidelines. He will collaborate with the three real estate agents that will be presenting to the board and provide the information to attorney Ron Austin. Ron will study the data and any required real estate law and speak in our defense at the meeting.
There are 125 homes in Waterbury and together we can reach the goal to pay the fees and ensure we have legal representation and an expert appraiser to represent us at the hearing. In the event that there are any excess of funds, we will donate to these to a local school, charity or organization.
Please donate what you can ASAP - time is not on our side as the meeting is quickly approaching on August 6.
