Family, 2024 was a very difficult year for me personally, and due to some unfortunate circumstances, I found myself counted among the "unhoused" here in Fresno. I had been living out of my car at a truck stop at Highway 99 and Ave 12 since before Christmas. I had a temporary work assignment at an almond processing plant in Madera, but that ended in the middle of January with no other assignments coming available since. Denise has gone "above and beyond" to assist me, and just recently, Conrad has opened up his home to me so I could have a roof over my head and a place to call home.
However, when I vacated the house I was renting, I needed to place my possessions into storage, along with documents that contained my personal information (social security, credit card account numbers, etc.). I wasn't able to make the January storage payment, and now the February payment is due along with late fees and lien sales fees as well. I don't want to lose my possessions; but more importantly, I don't want my personal information exposed to the public. It's with a humble heart that I'm reaching out to you all for any assistance you can and are willing to provide. This is something I would never wish upon anyone. The payment needs to be made by next Monday, the 10th to avoid the unit going to the lien sale.
There is hope, as I've started a new part-time job as a host at a local Chili's restaurant. This is my first week on the floor, and I've enjoyed the experience. They've given me more shifts as the new schedule has come out. I'm also exploring other opportunities at the same time. However, payday isn't until next Friday, the 14th. Again, anything that you can send will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your generosity, and God bless!
