Preston's Pride Project
Donation protected
Hello my name is Neil Walden, I live in Tulare, Ca. Myself and a handful of volunteers have been blessed with the task of maintaining and preservation of Tulares B17 bomber Preston's Pride and the F4F Phantom jet . B17ARCHAEOLOGY came in March of 2018, and fully polished the B17 , restoring the outside to it's original factory shine, which involved hundreds of man- hours got it to that point, all factory insignias and the original 1946 nose art were applied, paying tribute to it's service as a mother ship for drone control in "OPERATION CROSSROADS" which was the beginning of Americas atomic testing program, this is the last surviving aircraft of that program. Our mission for donations is the procurement of internal components that have been sold off or ripped off during it's past sixty years of sitting outside. For tools and supplies for maintenance, painting supplies, and our ground support equipment. We all know this plane will never fly, but that's no reason we can't preserve and restore it to make it a beautiful static display . We are volunteering our time for the love and passion of history and being able to pay tribute to our community and to our veterans . We have the gates open as much as possible for viewing and great photo op's. Any DONATION is greatly appreciated, please help us meet our goal , DONATE for the preservation of history and historical artifacts.
