On Sunday August 29, my sister, her husband and their 3 children were out riding a Polaris side by side when out of nowhere it just went up in flames. Thankfully they all got out alive but not all unharmed. My 8 year old niece has 3rd degree burns on her legs and 1st and 2nd degree burns on one of her hands. She had her first surgery this morning but has many many more surgeries to go for many years. As of right now they will be living in the hospital and 3 hours away from their other 2 children. I wanted to set up a Go Fund Me account for them so that they don't have to worry about finances at this time. The money will go towards whatever they need financially, while they are living out of the hospital and when they come home. We know God has this in his hands and will get them all through this. UPDATE: September 4, 2021 

As of today, Presleigh has had 3 surgeries and 1 blood transfusion. Monday will be her 4th surgery and her final surgery (for now) will follow 2 weeks from then. Also, our other daughter, Parker, ended up having to have surgery and a skin graft on her burns as well. She is doing good and is back with family. Both girls are going to be missing a ton of school and education is very important for them at this age. Presleighs whole life has been flipped upside down and will not be the same for a very long time. The burns are considered “full thickness” burns on her entire legs. Which means the fire burned through her nerves and blood vessels. The surgeries they are doing now are to help regain as much nerve and blood vessels as possible so she has as much mobility back as possible. Her right hand suffered 2nd degree burns that pass over her joints. She has also had 2 surgeries on her hand, but thankfully she shouldn’t need another. We are really praying she gets full mobility back and is able to be a kid again and run, play, and write again. We have the longest road ahead of us and lots and lots of physical therapy to get her walking and writing again.
