Hi, I am Grant Gould, and I am building Granville Stories, an initiative focused on documenting and preserving the voices, experiences, and stories of Granville, New York.

I graduated from Granville in 2025, and growing up here played a major role in shaping who I am today. I believe that understanding the world begins with understanding where you are from, and this project is rooted in that idea.

This project was inspired by my curiosity, interest in storytelling and history, and recent conversations with my grandmother. I have realized how many meaningful stories (personal histories, local traditions, and lived experiences) are rarely documented and often lost over time.

Granville Stories is an effort to change that.

The goal is to create a lasting visual archive that captures the people, perspectives, and identity of this community. This archive can be shared with future generations and serve as a meaningful record of local history.

I am fully committed to building this initiative and documenting the process along the way. I plan on conducting sit-down interviews, filming in and around the community, and developing a platform where these stories can be preserved and shared.

In addition to fundraising, I am committed to supporting this initiative through my own work and efforts as I build it.
