Help protect a home that has spent decades protecting others.
For over 30 years, this home has been more than just a place to live. It has been a place where individuals with intellectual disabilities, dual diagnoses, and complex medical needs receive stability, dignity, and a level of care that goes far beyond what is typically expected.
Decades ago, two caregivers made the decision to open not only their home, but their lives, to those who require more than what traditional systems can provide. That decision has never changed. This is not a job that begins and ends with a shift. It is a life built entirely around the needs of others.
Everything within the home has been structured to support consistent, high-quality care ... routines, space, finances, and daily living. At times, even personal living arrangements have been adjusted to ensure that care remains uninterrupted and stable for those who depend on it. This level of commitment is not about convenience or obligation. It is about responsibility, consistency, and long-term dedication.
Over the years, maintaining this level of care has required significant personal sacrifice. When gaps in support arise, standards are not lowered ... they are upheld. When additional resources are needed, they are found. The priority has always remained the same: ensuring that those supported in the home receive the care, stability, and respect they deserve.
The impact of this approach has been profound. Professionals involved in care have recognized the significance of the environment, noting that the consistency and attentiveness provided within this home have directly contributed to improved quality of life, and in some cases, extended it. This is the result of decades of commitment, vigilance, and genuine care.
This home was never just a workplace ... it was their future.
It was their plan to grow older there, to eventually live in the lower portion of the home while continuing to ensure that supportive care could exist above. It was a way to sustain what they had built over decades, while finally creating some stability for themselves after a lifetime of putting others first.
Now, that future is at risk.
Because of the sacrifices made to maintain care ... absorbing costs, carrying financial pressure, and prioritizing others again and again ... they are now facing the loss of not only the home they built around care, but the home they planned to retire in.
Today, that stability is at risk.
Due to circumstances outside of their control, the home is now facing increasing financial pressure, placing it at risk of being lost. Despite this, care within the home continues. The same level of commitment remains, even while navigating this uncertainty.
Why This Matters ...
We are seeking to raise $50,000 to provide short-term stability for this home — not to solve everything, but to create time.
Time to stabilize.
Time to explore sustainable solutions.
Time to ensure that what has been built over decades is not lost in a moment.
This home is more than a physical space. It is a place where individuals are supported, where routines are understood, and where care is delivered with consistency and respect. It is also a place where aspects of community inclusion and skill development take place, allowing individuals to remain connected, engaged, and growing within their community.
A sudden disruption would not only impact housing, but also the continuity of care, established routines, and overall well-being of those supported within it. Disruption in environments like this can lead to regression, increased stress, and loss of progress that has taken significant time and care to build.
Funds raised will go directly toward maintaining the home and covering essential housing-related costs, helping to preserve stability for approximately the next 3 months while long-term solutions are actively pursued.
This is about creating a bridge ... a way to move forward thoughtfully, without losing what already exists.
A Moment to Give Back
For decades, this home has quietly supported others — providing care, stability, and a place to belong for individuals who rely on it every day.
Now, it needs support in return.
If you believe that this kind of commitment matters…
If you believe that stability, dignity, and proper care should be protected…
If you believe that those who dedicate their lives to supporting others should not be left to carry this alone…
We ask you to consider contributing or sharing this campaign.
Every contribution, no matter the size, helps create the time needed to protect this home, preserve continuity, and ensure that thoughtful, responsible next steps can be taken.
Let’s make sure a home that has given so much is not lost.
