I know you look at this fundraiser and think, well, it’s just a beat-up truck, but it’s a lot more than that. This truck was owned by somebody who meant a lot to some people. And sadly, that owner has passed at a young age. His name was Colton Ryan Shrontz, and he worked his life away to be able to afford this truck and a lot of other things that are now gone, sold off to never be thought about again.
Yes, it’s just a truck, but that truck represents a lot of who this man was, and it has a lot of good and bad memories that come along with it. People who knew him said the truck was a part of Colton, not just a truck; it also represented him. My boyfriend is fighting his hardest to keep this truck, and he isn’t getting there quick enough. It is ruining our relationship; it is ruining his mental health watching everything his brother worked for disappear.
This truck isn’t just a truck; it was someone's reason to strive and push forward through anything, and I want to give my boyfriend the gift of being able to keep it and giving him something to strive for. I’m not asking to reach my goal; I’m just asking for some help. I really care about him, and it’s destroying me watching him fall apart for something he should have. It’s his brother's truck. Just think of how you would feel if someone you cared for died and you had to watch everything that meant the world to them disappear without being able to do anything. Again, not asking for my goal, just asking for help.
