Preserve Christopher's Legacy: Support His Family

On October 10th, 2024, A man who dedicated his life to his country, his family, and his work, was lost. Christopher Waid was the foundation for our very family, and touched the lives of every neighbor, work buddy, and friend wherever we went. He filled a crucial role to my sister and I when we needed it the most in our lives and was the husband my mother needed.

12 years ago, when my mother divorced, things were bleak and scary for us in our situation. We did not know where we would go or end up. When Chris came into our lives, everything changed. Our love tanks were filled, my parents found a house to call our home, and we have been living a stable life ever since.

When Chris’ life ended at a moment’s notice, our hearts were devastated. Chris took so much pride in his home, learning and working hard on this home and building a shared vision. He always considered everyone with every action he took. His missing presence has left our hearts with a terrible void, stuck with a former reality.

My mother, now single income widow is now faced with saying goodbye to our beloved home; the dream my mother and stepfather had always dreamed of owning and living in for the rest of their lives.
