33rd Avenue is essential access to over 25 of our homes as well as a safe private throroughfare for all. Although it looks like a public road, it is actually a privately maintained County easement — meaning the County allows access but does not provide maintenance. Under California Civil Code §845, when a majority of property owners agree to maintain a shared private road, all benefiting owners share in that responsibility. There is a critical need to address deteriorating conditions on 33rd Avenue, including surface cracking, emerging potholes, and faded traffic markings. We’re raising funds to perform a Type II slurry seal to preserve the roadway, along with thermoplastic striping to restore fire lanes and speed humps.
