Fundraiser for Destiny Herrmann – Pregnant Stay-at-Home Mom Who Unexpectedly Lost Her Husband to Covid-19
I decided to create this fundraiser for Destiny Herrmann after learning of the tragic death of her husband, Ed Herrmann. On April 7, 2021, Ed tested positive for Covid-19 and Destiny tested positive a few days later. On April 18, 2021, Ed succumbed to the virus, leaving his pregnant wife and six-year old son, Bradley, behind.
Ed was Destiny’s best friend, confidant, and the sole provider for their family. The loss of Ed has been devastating emotionally and also left Destiny having to grapple with how she will provide for her son and unborn child. Unfortunately, at the time of Ed’s death, the couple had little savings and Ed’s name was on all the bank accounts. The amount of saving the couple did have, is not enough to pay for living costs or medical expenses. Additionally, Destiny is not currently in a position to seek employment – she is 7 months pregnant, experiencing complications with her pregnancy, grieving the loss of her husband, recovering from Covid-19, and does not have a driver’s license.
The purpose of this fundraiser is to provide Destiny and Bradley with enough funds to cover the expenses associated with Ed’s death, as well as living costs to help her through the next few months. Whatever you can donate would be greatly appreciated by the family. Thank you in advance for your support.
At this time, given the issue with the bank accounts mentioned above, all funds raised will be transferred to Darcy Fisher, Destiny's sister. Darcy will be providing the funds directly to Destiny for the care of Destiny and her son, Bradley.
