Pregnant & Alone After ICE Detained My Husband Justin Chung
Donation protected
My name is Neftali Carrera, and I’m humbly asking for your help. My husband Justin Chung was suddenly taken by ICE agents despite following instructions to self-deport. We were told he would be allowed to buy his own ticket to South Korea and leave voluntarily — but moments before we were leaving our home to head to his appointment, ICE surrounded us and detained him.
Justin is a reformed man who was granted clemency and parole after serving time for a crime committed as a youth. Since then, he has changed his life, mentored at-risk teens in our community, and become a loving husband and soon-to-be father. I am currently pregnant with our first child, due in February. We are devastated.
Justin had already purchased his ticket for a voluntary departure on June 13, but ICE denied him the opportunity to follow through on it. We are now raising funds to cover legal assistance, emergency support for our unborn baby, and costs related to Justin’s deportation and possible return under humanitarian or spousal petitions.
If you can find it in your heart to help us during this critical time, we would be so grateful. Please share or donate whatever you can. Thank you for standing with our family in love, prayer, and action.
