Prayers for Paul: Battling Cancer's Aggressive Return

Donation protected
In the words of my sister-n-law Lauren:
Pauls cancer is back with vengeance again. We knew going into Thanksgiving that directly after we would have to be back at UAMS to try another chemo. But it kicked back up at such a rate it took everyone by surprise. Paul ended up getting super sick from a number of factors that ended up putting him into kidney failure and heart failure. He had a drain put in to drain his heart of the fluid. Despite several rounds of Lasix they couldn’t get his kidneys to cooperate and start working, so they decided to do dialysis to help him.
In the meantime, the drain has been taken out of his heart (which is great). He is starting to slowly urinate on his own (which is great). And his color is returning. He is out of the ICU and back on our favorite floor in the building F7-the myeloma floor. The head oncologist told Paul the chemo they tried (which was supposed to be a great one) failed and Paul isn’t responding to it. We are having to hit the restart button again…and doing a third stem cell transplant. He is on oxygen as his O2 levels are lowish, but we think it’s because he is so swollen and he can’t catch his breath.
Can yall just continue to pray for our family. This is a lot. We are going into this brow beat already, so it is…a lot….It feels like we just keep getting kicked in the proverbial balls repeatedly a bunch lately. We are not out of the woods yet and truly need prayers. Prayers for his heart to not have sustained permanent damage and it was just acute heart failure and not heart failure due to myeloma. Prayers for the myeloma to be stopped. Prayers that his kidneys can recover and start working again. Prayers for him to be able to start breathing comfortably again. Prayers that the excess water in his body goes away. Prayers that we stop with all these constant health scares, it’s overwhelming to say the least. We need prayers for our kids while we are away and honestly pray for strength and perseverance for our entire family.

**Paul is going to need to be in or near University Arkansas Medical Sciences Hospital for a minimum of 2 months between stem cell transplant and CAR-T transplant PLEASE consider donating to this go fund me to help ease the financial burden this aggressive disease is causing his family especially with being so far away from home during treatment. **
