Roger Manning

Scott Mathias is a self-employed building inspector, who suffered a broken leg in a fall at work. His doctor has told him he cannot put any weight on it for at least another four weeks, which means at least a month and a half without any income at all.

Scott is not eligible for unemployment. His wife, Dana, works at our church's daycare; however, she cannot work either because she must be home to care for Scott.

This situation leaves the wonderful couple without any income; medical expenses over and above what insurance will pay; and no money in the bank.

Scott is an ordained pastor (not on staff) and an active Bible teacher at Woodland Hills Baptist Church in Longview, TX. His son is our campus pastor at Woodland Hills Mason Creek campus.

This godly couple needs our help but would never ask for it himself. For that reason, we, his friends and brothers and sisters in Christ are prayerfully asking God to provide the necessary funds to help them through these rough times. Will you please pray and consider helping too?

I am personally reminded of God's Word to us on this situation: 1 John 3:17 17 But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?
