Our sweet niece Andreya (daughter of Corey & Trina Shannon) has been suffering from seizures for over two years now. There have been some small improvements, but overall, the seizures (100+ per day) are constant and unrelenting.
Andreya is now set to have surgery (hemispherotomy) next Wednesday, July 14th. It will be a whirlwind week of preparation and pre-op appointments for the family, as well as a long road of rehabilitation, recovery and healing post-surgery.
