Pray and Help Save Ayesha

Donation protected

This is Ayesha Zulfiqar. She was born in Pakistan and is stuck in Pakistan. She lives in Lahore, the most polluted city in the world, and desperately wants to come to America. But, it is almost impossible for a single young girl of 23 to leave Pakistan without legal help, funding, and a lot of prayer. Any amount will help.

If you are a person or know a person who overcame almost impossible odds to escape a bad place and get to America, this story should touch your heart. So many people are caught in countries where it is hard to escape. But, we have faith that Ayesha will be successful.

I’m concerned about the safety of Pakistan, her safety. The United States State Department ranks Pakistan as a number 3 threat level: State Department says, “Reconsider travel to Pakistan due to terrorism. Some areas have increased risk.”

Another worry I have is the problem of disease there. Certain diseases are common such as:

Malaria
Tuberculosis
Dengue fever
Diarrhea and other waterborne diseases
Hepatitis
Diabetes
Cancer
IHD (Ischemic Heart Disease)
COPD (Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease)
Stroke
Polio
Poor maternal health and neonatal disorders.
My heart is to save Ayesha from her life in Pakistan and from all the risks that threaten her there. She is a child of God, loves God, and believes God will bring her to a better life. I believe that too.

Ayesha is trained as a beautician and massage therapist, but at this point has little work history. In Pakistan she has almost no income and few opportunities to better herself. She works hard around her house doing laundry, cooking for her large family, and doing other necessary chores.

She lives in a house with parents, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews, about 14 people. She will contact me sometimes at 3,4,or 5 A.M. Pakistan time when she can relax and talk to me. She has long days and grabs some sleep when she can.

Ayesha and I met online through a mutual friend. We felt it was truly a God thing. Then, over the months we have developed a very close relationship. We are not related by blood but we have what you would call a Father/Daughter relationship. She’s 23 and I’m 77. She calls me “daddy.” She loves me very much and I her as a daughter.

Over the time we have known each other she has proven to me over and over that she is a wonderful, caring and godly person. I will do whatever I can, with your help, to get Ayesha out of Pakistan. We don’t just need money, we need prayer.

We talk by Messenger almost every day either by chat or on video chat. She told me that the only thing she wanted from me was love and respect, nothing else. And, she has never asked me for anything. I am the one who suggested creating this GoFundMe account to make it possible for her to come to America.

Ayesha is a very devoted person. She is devoted to Jesus Christ, her large family, and her church. She is a Pentecostal Christian and attends the largest Pentecostal church in Pakistan. She prays every night about midnight and reads her Bible. Trust me, this girl can pray. She trusts God with everything in her life. She trust that God will provide a way out of Pakistan and into America, but she is not anxious about it. She has a rare quiet patience, trusting in God.

We are greatly encouraged now because Ayesha’s sister is getting married in the next few months, will move to America, and will be living in Georgia near me. She is marrying a friend of mine who I have known 45 years. Ayesha will then have a blood relative living in America. She is very close to her sister and this intensifies her desire to come to America. It also greatly increases the chance of getting a visa.

I have contacted several immigration attorneys and now know that the legal fees can range from $3000 to $5000 or more. Then, there are other legal expenses such as visa fees.

We will have to make sure Ayesha qualifies for whatever visa we have the best chance to obtain. After much research, legal counsel, and discussions, we have opted to apply for the tourist visa. When approved, it is valid for six months. We would have the option to file for an extension after 45 days. The long term goal is to obtain some type of extended or permanent visa.

So, the money we raise will go to lawyer fees, visa fees, airfare to Atlanta and back, and a little for basic things she will need to get settled in Georgia. She will have a place to stay when she gets here so that is a major hurdle we don’t have to worry about. Once here, she will be taken care of.

This is a very low, but doable budget. So, now, every penny we raise will get Ayesha closer to America. Anything you can do to help will be so much appreciated by me and especially by Ayesha. Please pray, and then give as you are able. You will be part of doing a very great, good deed. Thank you so much.

I will give updates as we get near our goal. The first major step is getting visa.
