Pranavananda Orphanage, Kathmandu
Donation protected
I was very lucky to visit an orphanage in Kathmandu in April this year. The not-for-profit orphanage is located in Kathmandu, Nepal and cares for orphans until they are independent. They provide free education for 200 students - and provide boarding, food and uniform for 50 students. The orphanage relies on donations from people like us due to lack of government funding. I was lucky to get to know the principal and director, who explained that these boys would be beggars without the charity of volunteers and donors.
When I saw children who were forced to beg for food during my travels throughout the city, I understood how important this organisation was. I got to play musical statues with the boys and I've honestly never met such sweet boys in my life! They all had such a gentle temperament and were so kind to each other. The principal explained that the orphanage is in great need of donations for education resources - including books, uniforms and shoes. Furthermore, if the orphanage had more funding, they could begin to increase their facilities to accommodate for even more orphans.
I would really appreciate even just $5 because it will make a huge difference. This money will go to the Principal of the orphanage and will be used for school supplies and educational resources. Thankyou so much!! :)
