Community Fundraiser

Hi, my name is Penny. I belong to a ladies group in Ilfracombe called Tangles.

We are a social group who also fundraise for the local community. As their current Chair I wanted to hold an event to raise funds for a worthy cause before I handover to our next Chair. So, with that in mind I have decided to shave my head for charity! I wanted to support the many women in my life who have suffered with hair loss, either down to chemo or alopecia, with potentially starting a Wig Bank to support those who need some support, as this is lacking in North Devon, especially for people affected by alopecia.

The event will take place on Saturday 24th August at the Hip and Pistol St James Place Ilfracombe.

Everyone is welcome to attend and you are also welcome to join me! You can join me in shaving your head or beard or legs even!

Its a bit scary doing it alone so any company would be brilliant. If you don't want to shave anything then please join in by wearing a wig or skinhead/punk fancy dress, or even just come and join us to show your support. There will be entertainment after all the shaving.

In the meantime please donate to this worthy cause. All proceeds will be distributed to The Fern Center Barnstaple.
