Brave Little Luna

Beautiful words from Luna’s mother, Lindsay Mains:

“Luna May Mains passed in the arms of her parents on Monday, July 12 2021. She was born on August 9, 2019 under a waxing moon, and entered this world with a bang. Luna fought a long and hard battle after receiving a bone marrow transplant from her brave sister, Olive. Though much of Luna’s life was colored by her sickness, she had an exuberance for life that touched everyone around her. She was always smiling, continuously pulling people into her orbit, and always bossing everyone around. She was the bravest warrior and taught us, daily, how to fight. She passed tiny gifts of joy out to those she loved and they are scattered across the world like stars in the sky. Luna’s light was as bright as the moon on a dark night and her life was a gift to everyone who knew her. She is the daughter of Nick and Lindsay Mains. She is survived by her sister, Olive Alyse Mains who is her hero and her best friend.”
