Merry Christmas, Prince George!

It’s that magical time of year again—when our house uses more electricity than the average small village and the neighbors politely pretend they don’t mind! Yes, the Christmas light show is BACK, brighter than ever, and synchronized to music because… why not?

For the past four years, we’ve paired our glowing winter wonderland with a fundraiser for local food banks and community groups. And thanks to the incredible generosity of Prince George, we’ve donated nearly $9,500 so far. That’s a lot of lights turned into a lot of good!

This year, the donations will be shared between two organizations:

50% to the Prince George Judo Club

50% to a mystery organization chosen by YOU, the donors

Let me tell you—if you haven’t seen the PG Judo Club in action, these kids are amazing. The teamwork, the dedication, the respect—it’s inspiring. They train hard, travel often, and somehow manage to keep costs low so more kids can participate. They throw each other around all day and then smile about it. Truly impressive. That’s why they’re getting half the proceeds this year.

The other half? That’s where YOU come in. When you donate, you get to recommend your favorite deserving local organization. All recommendations go into a draw, and whichever name is pulled gets the other 50%. Think of it like a charity lottery, except the prize is goodwill and bragging rights.

And just to be clear: 100% of your donations go directly to these two groups. Last year we raised $2,500—let’s see if we can beat that! Every dollar counts, and with the tough times many families are facing, your support means more than ever.
