In Their Shoes

In Their Shoes is a fundraiser organized by Emergency Room nurses dedicated to making a difference to families in need in the Boston area. 

When you hear the name “In Their Shoes,” we hope you take a minute to pause and imagine what it would be like to be homeless with children. Hard-working, dedicated parents find themselves in this position way too often due to circumstances that are beyond their control. This can oftentimes leave them in the most difficult position of their lives.

Our mission is to supply these families in need with small increment gift cards that they can use to purchase gas, food, and other items necessary for survival. Specifically, the cards will be purchased at local gas stations and stores which do not sell alcohol or tobacco products but provide family-friendly amenities. 

All gift cards will be distributed to the six Boston Level I trauma centers. They will then be shared with families in need by the Social Work departments at each hospital.

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you so much for your donation! As healthcare workers, we see so much hardship day in and day out. We hope you will see this as a small way to help create change in our community and improve the lives of those families that we care for.
